A Research, Development and Innovation laboratory has been opened at a Saudi university to develop society and improve quality of life

NewsA Saudi university has created a research, development, and innovation centre with the goal of advancing society and raising the standard of living.
On Wednesday, the official opening took place at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University in Al-Kharj at a symposium titled "National Aspirations and Priorities for Competitiveness and Global Leadership."
The university’s vice rector for graduate studies and scientific research, Dr. Abdullah bin Nidal Adass, said: “PSAU saves no efforts to keep pace with the latest developments and scientific practices in research, development, and innovation.
“At PSAU, we transform research, development, and innovation into knowledge products that serve and develop the knowledge economy and national prosperity.”
In keeping with the objectives of Vision 2030, he stated that the institution sought to be a top knowledge provider with the greatest resources.
Adass also said that “The first phase of the research, development, and innovation laboratory at the PSAU was inaugurated with a modern design and advanced infrastructure that enhances the localization of technology and contributes to improving the growth of the national economy based on knowledge and innovation,”
The laboratory will seek to establish collaborations to commercialise technologies while enhancing the competitiveness and standing of the Kingdom worldwide, in addition to sharing the findings of its scientific work with pertinent governmental authorities.
An annual prize for research and innovation is given by PSAU.
