The nine stations along the Al-Mashaer Al-Mugaddasah Metro Line opened to Hajj pilgrims on Thursday. According to the Saudi Press Agency, pilgrims may now travel between the holy sites in Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah using the metro.
Saudi Arabia Railways said on Monday that the line's 90-day trial has come to a conclusion and that service has begun. Throughout the season, pilgrims can board any one of the seventeen trains operating on the route.
The operations and control centre of Saudi Arabia Railways, as well as the trains, stations, signalling and communication systems, have all undergone thorough repair and modifications. More than 7,500 seasonal employees, including those who speak English, Turkish, Indonesian, and other languages well, have been hired by the organisation.
