An awareness campaign under the slogan The Green Family launched to raise family awareness about climate change

Under the theme "The Green Family," the Saudi Family Affairs Council has started a family awareness campaign regarding climate change. In honor of the International Day of Families, which is celebrated on May 15 of each year, the campaign was started. The campaign intends to draw attention to the most significant national initiatives addressing it in tandem with the United Nations' observation of the day this year to raise awareness of the family, climate change, and its long-term effects on society.

The Council hopes to increase family understanding of the effects of climate change on their lives and the value of forming sustainable habits and a climate-aware mindset in kids at a young age through this campaign. In order to create a more sustainable future for everybody, it also showcases the country's efforts through the Saudi Green Initiative, which consists of 80 projects focused on afforestation, biological diversity protection, and carbon emission reduction. Additionally, it clarifies the significance of early education and curricula in introducing climate change, as well as the role that families may play in climate action. 

The Green Family Campaign, which has the support of over 50 government agencies and nonprofit organizations, aims to educate families and society at large by showcasing Saudi Arabia's most noteworthy accomplishments in combating climate change through a variety of media products.
