Under the sponsorship of Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, the chair of the board of trustees of the Royal Institute of Traditional Arts and the Saudi minister of culture, the Confluence of Saudi-Brazilian Culture, or CONEXAO, will take place in Riyadh from January 30 to February 1.
With the topic "Eltiqa: the Saudi-Brazilian traditional arts," the show, which will take place at the King Fahad Cultural Center in Riyadh, will provide a singular cultural and artistic experience, emphasizing the creative coherence between the two countries.
Five traditional Saudi and five traditional Brazilian acts will be included in the CONEXAO program, which will culminate in a mixed dance that incorporates traditional artistic elements from both countries.
A joint piece of art by two Saudi Arabian and Brazilian women artists will also be on display.
In order to improve cultural understanding and fortify relationships between the two cultures, the event will feature more than 15 cultural events, including workshops and instructional seminars on performing and visual arts.
