The General Authority for Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques spokesperson said on Monday that 25,000 brand-new carpets had been installed in the Grand Mosque in Makkah in preparation for Ramadan. The Grand Mosque saw a rise in Umrahs and prayer attendance throughout the holy month, a period of heightened devotion and spirituality. Every evening, worshippers throng the mosque to offer taraweeh prayers.
Reliable reports state that the mosque has 3,000 restrooms in its courtyards and 50 ablution stations inside. In order to relieve the thirst of worshippers both before and after their fasts, the mosque is equipped with 15,000 Zamzam containers and 150 Zamzam water stations.
Lots of equipment and machines are being used to ensure the health and safety of visitors. Moreover, 3,000 liters of quality air-fresheners are used to ensure a pleasant atmosphere.
