Heritage Commission and ASFAR signed a MoU to enhance visitor experience at cultural heritage sites in Saudi

NewsA memorandum of agreement was signed by the Heritage Commission and ASFAR, the Saudi Arabian tourism investment business that is entirely controlled by the Public Investment Fund, with the aim of improving the visitor experience at cultural heritage sites around the Kingdom.
CEOs of the Heritage Commission, Jasser Al-Harbash, and ASFAR, Fahad bin Mushayt, were present during the signing, according to a Sunday report from the Saudi Press Agency. For Saudi Arabia's heritage sites, the agreement intends to increase operational effectiveness, foster collaboration, create plans, improve designs, and create operational models.
The commission emphasized the value of collaborations in advancing the field of archaeology and national heritage, in line with Saudi Vision 2030. Through investments in popular tourist attractions, historical and cultural landmarks, ASFAR is crucial in forming the Kingdom's tourism industry, according to SPA. Through partnerships with the governmental and private sectors, the company hopes to increase Saudi cities' visibility on the tourism map.
