HRDF has supported the employment of 201,000 citizens in the private sector during the first half of 2023 through its various programs and initiatives

NewsThrough its numerous programmes and initiatives, the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) assisted in the hiring of 201,000 male and female individuals in the private sector during the first half of 2023, compared to 150,000 during the same time last year.
Eng. Ahmed Al-Rajhi, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development and Chairman of the Fund's Board of Directors, emphasised the leadership's support for the fund's efforts to develop Saudis' skills and capabilities, increase their labor-force participation, and encourage the private sector to contribute to nationalisation efforts, in addition to strengthening partnerships with relevant authorities in training, employing, and e-learning.
HRDF Director Turki Al-Jawini stated that the fund's new approach helped to increasing the advantages of the fund's programmes and services for individuals and businesses. He noted that 79,000 establishments in important sectors in the Kingdom benefited from the fund's programmes, representing a 41% increase over the same time last year, while assistance programme expenditures topped SR4.6 billion in the first half of 2023.
He emphasised that HRDF will continue its efforts to integrate the human resources system to keep up with labour market changes, meet its requirements, and take into account sectoral needs and priorities, in addition to working on developing programmes to support training, empowerment, and guidance directed at national cadres in a way that contributes to achieving the Kingdom's Vision 2030 goals in developing human capabilities and market strides.
