Jeddah’s landmark destination - ROSHN Waterfront to have new look; aims to enhance community engagement, empower creatives, improve public landscape

Leading national real estate developer in Saudi Arabia, ROSHN Group, has unveiled an updated version of ROSHN Waterfront, a popular tourist destination in Jeddah that draws over 55 million visitors a year. The goal of this project, "Renewing and Coloring Your Steps," is to empower artists, strengthen public spaces, and increase community involvement. 

With a new plan that highlights Jeddah's distinctive qualities, Saudi artisans will transform the walkway into a breathtaking work of art. At the end of May, more than 200 Jeddah volunteers will paint and bring life to the 1,6,000 square meter promenade, which is 3,200 meters long and 5 meters wide. Early in June, the public will be able to see ROSHN Waterfront's new look. 

The program is a collaboration between the social responsibility charity of Jeddah Municipality and PIF-owned ROSHN and "Lenobadir" volunteer program. 

ROSHN has been inviting Saudi artists to submit their ideas for ROSHN Waterfront through a competition over the past three months. Thirty-eight gifted artists, including designers and painters, entered the competition and displayed their concepts. These were then assessed using a predetermined set of standards. The main goal was to capture the lively environment and distinct individuality of Jeddah, as well as the unique features that make up ROSHN Group, especially the quality of life.
