News"Saudi Film Nights," an international event that will feature Saudi film in five countries, is launching its second edition, according to the Film Commission. This month, the tour will begin in Morocco and go to Australia, China, and India before coming to an end in Mexico in January 2025.
In order to promote conversations among filmmakers, cinema buffs, scholars, critics, and artists, this cultural project will screen more than 20 Saudi feature and short films that have won awards at regional and worldwide film festivals.
The CEO of the Film Commission, Eng. Abdullah Al-Qahtani, stressed the significance of the occasion in advancing the Kingdom's film industry and its capacity to enthral global viewers. This year, the commission hopes to broaden the event's appeal and influence by promoting regional artists and raising public knowledge of the Saudi film industry around the world.
Last year, four French cities hosted the first-ever Saudi Film Nights, which played five Saudi films. The initiative's goals are to draw attention to the Kingdom's film industry, assist Saudi filmmakers in expanding their audience internationally, and enable the sharing of information and skills among members of the worldwide cinema community.
