Leaders of the Arab League nations adopted the statute of Council of Arab Cybersecurity Ministers at the summit-level meeting in Bahrain

NewsAt their summit meeting in Bahrain on Thursday, the leaders of the Arab League nations adopted the Council of Arab Cybersecurity Ministers' statute. The University Council will serve as the Council's parent organization, and Riyadh will serve as its permanent home.
In order to foster cooperative Arab action in cybersecurity, the Council is tasked with a number of duties, such as formulating broad policies and establishing priorities, improving cybersecurity initiatives and programs, and monitoring all cybersecurity-related topics and advancements at the security, financial, legislative, and developmental levels. All Arab nations endorsed a proposal put up by Saudi Arabia, which served as the basis for the Council's creation.
Dr. Musaed Al-Aiban, Minister of State, Member of the Council of Ministers, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Cybersecurity Authority, noted that Saudi Arabia's proposal to form the Council is a response to the growing number of cyberattacks occurring globally.
The Council will endeavor to accomplish a number of objectives, such as fostering and enhancing cooperation, organizing Arab nations' efforts in all areas linked to cybersecurity concerns, and exchanging research, expertise, and experiences.
