Minister of Communications and Information Technology engaged in pivotal discussions with leaders of major global technology firms

Abdullah Al-Swaha, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Communications and Information Technology, held crucial talks in Davos with executives of large international technology companies on the development of cutting-edge projects and technology in the Kingdom. The purpose of these gatherings, which are a component of the Kingdom's World Economic Forum delegation, is to reaffirm Saudi Arabia's standing as a regional centre for innovation and technology.
In a meeting with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Eng. Abdullah Al-Swaha discussed ways to increase funding for initiatives aimed at nurturing homegrown talent as well as generative artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and entrepreneurship. The topics of their discussion with IBM CEO Arvind Krishna included collaborative initiatives and developments in big data, generative AI, and the growth of digital capabilities. They also engaged in fascinating deep technology research and invention. However, the main goal of his meeting with Amazon CEO Adam Selipsky was to establish a collaboration to support the expansion of the digital economy in the area. Accelerating creative business models and using generative AI were topics of discussion.
Alibaba Group CEO J. Michael Evans met concurrently with Vice Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Haitham Al-Ohali. They talked on promoting investments through improved partnerships in cloud computing and e-commerce solutions, as well as national talent development.
In order to develop attractive chances in the digital economy, Eng. Al-Ohali also had a conversation with Jeff Schumacher, CEO of NAX group, on the potential for digital startups and the enhancement of innovation.
