Catrion Catering Holding Co. and Al-Madinah Heritage Co. have reached a deal enabling the latter to offer the former's Nua brand of upscale Saudi date products on commercial and VIP flights as well as in first-class and business-class lounges at various airports.
Using over 450 tonnes of raw dates annually in more than 250 culinary items, Catrion is regarded as one of the biggest Saudi firms when it comes to date consumption. Al-Madinah manufactures high-end dates and sells them both domestically and abroad. 1.6 million tonnes of dates have been produced in the Kingdom overall, spanning all of its areas.
Wajdi Al-Ghabban, CEO of Catrion, and Bandar Al-Qahtani, his counterpart at Al-Madinah, inked the deal.
The companies claimed that by providing upscale date products to tourists, the agreement would boost the local date industry, aid in production growth, and support the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030 development and diversification plan, which aims to raise non-oil revenues and strengthen the Kingdom's sense of national identity.
Public Investment Fund Al-Madinah is a firm that specialises in the dates industry. Travel catering and hospitality are Catrion's areas of expertise.
