At the Grand Mosque, one million pilgrims and worshippers gathered for Friday prayers. The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques made extensive preparations to accommodate a large number of pilgrims and worshippers who gathered to perform Friday prayers. On the second day of tashreeq on Friday, the Presidency proclaimed the success of the Presidency's strategy for the seamless flow of pilgrims to the Grand Mosque to perform Tawaf Al-Wida (farewell tawaf).
"The pilgrims flocked to the Grand Mosque in Makkah to perform the farewell tawaf, enjoying the finest facilities and services, keeping pace with the highest international standards," the Presidency stated.
It was highlighted that the Grand Mosque's greatest-ever extension, including the mataf, and the Presidency's meticulous arrangements allowed pilgrims to conduct the ceremonies with ease and comfort. The Presidency acknowledged that the second phase of the Presidency's strategy is centered on mobilising all of its field teams to do their jobs and boosting the level of preparation to the highest degree possible while servicing the Two Holy Mosques and pilgrims utilising the best and latest technology.
The Presidency is committed to administering the pilgrims' gathering plan in a seamless and trouble-free manner, he added, noting that this is the largest operating plan in the country's history. All of its resources, has been mobilised by the Presidency, to serve pilgrims on all of the levels of the Grand Mosque's Third Saudi Expansion, as well as the King Fahd Expansion and all of the courtyards.
