NewsKing Khalid International Airport in Riyadh's "Our Heritage, Our Identity" mural was recently unveiled by Riyadh Airports and the Royal Institute of Traditional Arts. The mural's bricks, which each represent a different civilization's uniqueness, creativity, and individuality, showcase those civilizations. At the 45th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, which took place in September 2023 in Riyadh, attendees made 401 bricks in total.
Each aspect of the mural, which brought together the artistic creations of 25 different nations, communicated overarching ideas like unity, interconnectedness, and the resilience of cultural traditions. The mural is embellished with traditional Saudi artwork, such as the unique Sadu art, which is renowned for its depth of creative expression, strong sense of national identity, and exquisite details. It also has a brick depicting the Rose of Taif, whose exquisite scent fills the surrounding bricks. The painting also has a genuine touch because of the brick of the Hasawi Bisht.
In order to present the art to visitors arriving in and departing from Riyadh, Riyadh Airports has implemented an ideal access strategy through King Khalid International Airport. This partnership reflects the culture and legacy of the community.
