NewsOn Wednesday, Saudi Arabia made the announcement that it had added three more nations to the list of those that can apply for electronic visit visas. The Commonwealth Caribbean nations of Grenada, Barbados, and the Bahamas are the newest members. With this extension, there are now 66 nations covered by the e-visit visa program.
The people of these three nations can apply online for a tourist visa or can pick one up at one of the Kingdom's international ports, according to a statement released by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Interior, and Ministry of Tourism. This project is a part of Saudi Arabia's attempts to give tourists from all over the world an amazing travel experience.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that nationals of these nations will be eligible for multiple reentry e-visit visas, which have a one-year validity. During the one-year visa period, a maximum stay of three months is permitted.
Via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' unified visa national platform, the Digital Saudi Embassy will quickly issue the electronic visa. Once in a Saudi port, nationals of these nations can also apply for a visitation visa. The visitation visas will be granted for travel, business, Umrah, and visiting family and friends.
The ministry stated that visa holders are required to adhere to the visit visa's term of stay and that visa renewal is not available until after the visa has expired. To avoid penalties, the visa holder must depart Saudi Arabia prior to the visit visa's authorized period of stay expiring. The holder of a visitation visa is not permitted to labor for pay or to undertake Umrah ceremonies during the Hajj season.
According to the ministry, visitsaudi.com has more information about the countries covered by the e-visit visa system, the requirements for getting a visa, and other things.
The three Commonwealth Caribbean nations have brought the total number of nations covered by the e-visit visa program to 66. The Ministry of Tourism declared in October 2023 that, in addition to the 57 nations that are currently covered by the e-visit visa program, tourists from six additional countries would be eligible for e-visas: Turkiye, Thailand, Panama, Saint Kitts & Nevis, Seychelles, and Mauritius. In addition, holders of current Schengen, UK, and US visas that were used to enter those nations before to landing in Saudi Arabia, as well as permanent residents of the US, the UK, and other GCC and EU nations, are granted a tourist e-visa.
