NewsOn Monday, Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman announced the establishment of a Global Water Organisation to coordinate and advance efforts by governments and organisations to sustainably secure the world's water supply.
The Riyadh-based organisation is to share knowledge, enhance technology, encourage innovation, and share research and development experiences. Additionally, it would encourage the creation and funding of high-priority projects, guaranteeing the sustainability of water resources and ensuring everyone has access to them.
The Kingdom demonstrates its dedication to tackling issues with the world's water supply by founding the organisation. The programme fits with Saudi Arabia's commitment to environmental sustainability.
Saudi Arabia has made considerable advancements in the production, delivery, and distribution of water throughout the years by utilising locally created creative solutions. These accomplishments have received recognition on a global scale.
Saudi Arabia also has a significant impact on keeping the subject of global water security at the top of the international agenda. This is further demonstrated by the support for development provided by the Kingdom, which has allocated more than $6 billion to several water and sanitation projects on four continents, according to the Saudi Press Agency. The group wants to work with nations who are prioritising water-related initiatives on their national agendas and those that are suffering water-related issues.
