Ramadan lasted for 29 days this year, according to the sighting committee at the Tumair observatory, which reported seeing the Shawwal crescent moon.
The Supreme Court's Crescent Department determined that Friday, Shawwal 01, 1444 Hijri, or April 21, 2023, is the first day of Eid Al-Fitr, according to a statement from the Royal Court.
The Supreme Court wished Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, the Crown Prince, all citizens, residents, and Muslims a happy Eid Al-Fitr and asks Allah Almighty to accept their fasting, night prayers, and all other good deeds in order to maintain the security, stability, and prosperity of the Kingdom.
On the festive occasion, dazzling fireworks display will light up the skies of 13 cities in Saudi Arabia on the first day of Eid Al-Fitr. The locations for the eye-catching fireworks displays that will illuminate the skies of 13 Saudi Arabian cities have been determined by the General Authority for Entertainment (GEA). The fireworks display, which is a part of the Eid Programme festivities in 2023, is scheduled to begin at 9:00 p.m
The locations are in the following cities: Jeddah's Jeddah Art Promenade, Al-Safa Park in Abha, and Boulevard Riyadh City in Riyadh. It will last for three days and feature drone displays on the second and third Eid days. The fireworks displays will be enjoyed by those in Al-Khobar at the coastline, those in Hail along the Al-Magwat recreational route for celebrations, and those in Al-Baha at Prince Hussam Park. As for Arar, the fireworks will be let off in a public park in front of Al-Othaim Mall. Several shows will be launched in Tabuk at the Tabuk Central Park.
The Al-Nahda neighbourhood in Najran will host the fireworks display, while King Fahd Central Park in Madinah and the northern Corniche Walk in Jazan will host the displays for spectators. According to GEA, the Skaka at Al-Azizia Park fireworks display will begin at 9:45 p.m., and the King Abdullah National Park fireworks display will begin at 10:00 p.m. for Buraidah residents.
