Saudi Arabia ranked first among G20 countries in public safety perception

According to the General Authority for Statistics' 2023 Safety Index Publication, 92.6 percent of Saudi Arabians feel comfortable walking alone at night in their residential zones, placing the Kingdom first among G20 nations in terms of public safety perception. The information, which comes from the Global Sustainable Development Goals Indicators Database, shows how successful government programs are at improving national security and quality of life.

According to GASTAT, the findings demonstrated the contributions made by different government agencies to guaranteeing public safety in every region and governorate. The rating was in line with Saudi Arabia's larger initiatives under the Saudi Vision 2030 to improve stability and well-being in a number of areas, such as the economy, food, environment, health, social, political, intellectual, technological, and cybersecurity safety.
