NewsNahawand Centre, the first international music academy in Saudi Arabia, opened its doors in Taif. At a ceremony on Sunday night in Taif, the Nahawand Academy of Arts and the Gnesins Russian Academy of Music inked a collaboration agreement in this respect.
One of the best colleges in Moscow is the Gnesins Academy. It is regarded as one of the most significant international music academies in Russia and operates many branches throughout the globe, including the US, UK, and France. Founded 120 years ago, it is regarded as one of the world's oldest academies.
The general supervisor of the Nahawand Centre, Dr. Abdullah Rashad, spoke at the event and explained that the two parties' decision to cooperate came with the goal of improving the effectiveness and proficiency of Saudi Arabian musicians. As part of Vision 2030, which seeks to make the music industry job-creating and supportive of the regional economy, this also attempts to help talented individuals and artists.
The local folklore performers performed the Taif Majrour dance, a well-known folk art form, at the occasion. On this day, there was also an art display.
The attendees took a tour of the academy's facilities, which included the presentation department, the lute and eastern music department, the content development wing, and the piano and vocals department, where they saw several students play. Numerous Nahawand kids gave musical performances at the ceremony.
Remarkably, the Nahawand Centre is recognised as one of the top music hubs in the Kingdom and holds accreditation in the fields of arts, talents, and music from both the General Entertainment Authority and the Media Authority.
