News EventThe Saudi National Museum in Riyadh officials have released a calendar of cultural events scheduled for December.
These include a World Arabic Language Day celebration on December 18 and a conference that goes along with the exhibition "Hijrah: In the Footsteps of the Prophet," which has been on display since the beginning of the current Hijri year.
The topics of discussion during the meeting will include the connection between language and poetic beauty as well as the effects of the Hijrah, or migration in Arabic, on Arabic literature.
The exhibition consolidates the knowledge of the voyage and its significance for Islamic, Arab, and world history by revealing aspects of the most significant journey in Islamic history and reflecting the journey's relevance in history and human culture.
As part of the Year of Arabic Poetry 2023 project, the museum will conduct a poetry event titled "Language Weaves a Shining Garment" on December 22. Novelist and poet Sarah Al-Zein, as well as writer Jassim Al-Sahih, will be present.
The occasion will honour the craft of language, exhibiting inventiveness and ingenuity that perfectly capture the unique garment that the Arabic language has sewn.
