SDAIA announced the launch of a center of excellence for smart solutions to ease traffic congestion

The establishment of a centre of excellence for intelligent solutions to reduce traffic jams and make it easier for different government departments in the Kingdom to carry out their tasks using data and artificial intelligence was announced by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). The center's goal is to improve city dwellers' quality of life. Under the theme "A Better Life," the announcement was made at the inaugural Global Smart City Forum, which SDAIA hosted at the Riyadh Arena.

The centre will develop intelligent solutions for different government agencies, use data and artificial intelligence technologies to support efforts to reduce traffic congestion and facilitate smooth vehicular traffic, and support data-driven decision-making to support efforts to improve sustainability, efficiency, and quality of life in cities.

In order to accomplish sustainable urban growth in a way that improves quality of life, the conference seeks to formulate an ambitious vision for the future of cities utilising clever solutions and to define fundamental guidelines that support municipal development plans. Additionally, it backs the initiatives taken by governments everywhere to implement cutting-edge models for clever fixes that raise the bar for public safety and services.
