The worldwide public services business has inaugurated its Saudi Space Division, the first of its type in the Kingdom, situated in Riyadh. Graduates accepted into the programme will get on-the-job training during a six-month internship at world-class space facilities in Europe, allowing them to gain worldwide experience through Serco and its partners. On their return to Saudi Arabia, they will continue their adventure through theoretical lessons, shadowing, and mentorship before being deployed into Serco's operational contracts in the regional space industry.
Serco is presently taking candidates for two immediate needs positions: a graduate space data engineer and a graduate space operations engineer. The graduate space data engineer will be essential in the management and use of Earth observation data for diverse projects. This position will entail a six-month placement in Frascati, Italy, supporting programmes for the ESA Centre for Earth Observation. The graduate spacecraft operations engineer will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of spacecraft operations for a variety of missions. It will involve a six-month placement in Darmstadt, Germany, where you will support functions for the European Space Operations Centre on an operational contract, receiving hands-on experience in a real-world operating setting.
