NewsSaudi Arabia's "cave resort" of Jabal Shada Al-Asfal in the Al-Makhwah Governorate in the southwest part of Baha offers something fresh and unique. Ten deserted mountain caverns that were formerly home to their ancestors have been converted by the locals into contemporary lodgings complete with all the comforts of home.
The caverns are situated atop Shada Al-Asfal, a mountain that rises to a height of 1,700 metres above sea level. The mountain is well-known for its farmland, caves, Shadawi coffee estates, and yearly Shadawi Coffee Festival. Additionally, the mountain is a crucial location for scientific study.
Along with the historic local geological formations, visitors and tourists may explore unspoiled old caverns that formerly housed indigenous people thousands of years ago. There are many opportunities for outdoor physical activities such as cycling and climbing.
