The historic Thahlan Mount hiking trail stretching over 1,200 meters, has been inaugurated

The ancient Thahlan Mount hiking route was launched by the municipality of Dawadmi in Riyadh province, in partnership with the Saudi Hiking Trails Association (Darb). The route, which stretches over 1,200 meters, is one of the longest in the area and is projected to become a popular outdoor activity destination, according to the Saudi Press Agency. 

Several government authorities as well as regional hiking enthusiasts attended the inaugural event. The event emphasized the area's history while also introducing the new route and development activities. 

Mount Thahlan, in the town of Al-Shuaraa, Dawadmi region, is a historic monument in the upper Najd. The area's high flatlands, lowlands, and mountain passes make it a popular hiking destination. 

Hikers on the trail can take in breathtaking mountain and desert views. The municipality developed the route utilizing current design concepts to provide a scenic and entertaining experience. The path is consistent with the Riyadh Municipality's objective to make the city more attractive and competitive. 

The effort also improves quality of life and aligns with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 objectives.
