The Kaaba kiswa will be changed with the arrival of the new Islamic year

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques stated on Monday that all ministries engaged in replacing the kiswa of the Kaaba with the start of the new Islamic year are ready to do so. According to the president, fifteen personnel have been taught to convert the kiswa to the appropriate quality.

Kiswa Amjad Al-Hazmi, the undersecretary-general of the King Abdulaziz Complex for the Holy Kaaba, stated that work on the covering of the holy site has been carried out by complex personnel with high-quality and accurate sewing abilities to guarantee that it appears "splendid."

Fahd Al-Jabri, the chief of the general administration for the maintenance of the kiswa at the Grand Mosque in Makkah, stated that training sessions for changing the kiswa have been held, and specific tools and equipment have been prepared. According to Al-Jabri, the training sessions were designed to familiarise the 15-person crew with the various phases and stages of altering the kiswa with the assistance of seven cranes.
