Transport and logistics system has an initiative to Saudize as many as 23,000 jobs in 28 different professions

NewsAccording to Ahmed Al-Hassan, assistant minister of transport and logistics, the transport and logistics system aims to create up to 23,000 employment across 28 different professions in Saudi Arabia. During the main dialogue session of the third Qassim Youth Empowerment Forum, "My Opportunity 3," he stated, "These include 10,000 jobs in the heavy transport sector; 3,000 jobs in the passenger transport sector; and 10,000 jobs in the air navigation sector."
The event, which was sponsored by Prince Faisal bin Mishaal, the Emir of the Qassim area, is titled: "The authorities’ efforts to empower youth according to the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030."
Al-Hassan stated that in order to fulfil the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, the intelligent leadership provides the transport and logistics system with care and support. According to him, a number of programmes and projects are being undertaken with the goal of improving employment prospects for Saudi Arabia's youth and developing human potential.
Al-Hassan pointed out that one of the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, which was introduced by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, is to position Saudi Arabia as a major global hub for logistics. The Saudi Logistics Academy was founded to assist a dynamic and growing logistics industry.
Up to 450 Saudi men and women have graduated from the academy and are now employed in the logistics industry.
By qualifying national cadres and training them in the areas of train driving, maintenance, signals, and control, and then placing them in the railway transport sector, the assistant minister claimed that the Saudi Railway Technical Institute makes a substantial contribution to the empowerment and support of the railway industry.
