News EventThe annual festival of light - Noor Riyadh will be held from November 28 to December 14. Light Years Apart is the new theme for Noor Riyadh. As part of the celebration, more than 60 pieces of art will light up different parts of Riyadh.
The world's largest light art festival, Noor Riyadh, takes place every year. Through illuminating artworks strewn throughout the Saudi capital, the event, which was started as part of the Riyadh Art Initiative, fosters and promotes creativity both locally and internationally. In 2021, the first edition was held, and in 2022, the second.
King Abdullah Financial District was one of the two venues for the first edition, whereas JAX Diriyah was one of four major venues for the second event. The festival in 2022 featured 500 activities throughout the city, activations in 40 sites, and more than 190 artworks created by 130 local and international artists, earning it six stunning Guinness World Records.
Under the theme "The Bright Side of the Desert Moon," Noor Riyadh 2023 illuminated the city for nearly a month in vivid blues, burnished orange, and deep reds. Over 100 artists from five different city hubs created more than 120 expansive light art installations, building projections, and other works. King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), Wadi Hanifah, JAX District, Salam Park, and Wadi Namar were all bathed in a sea of color thanks to the stunning artworks. Six Guinness World Records were set by the historic festival, including the largest temporary skate park in the world and the most drones launched in a single week.
