Five media training and digital projects were launched during the first ‘Media Partners’ meeting held at the ‘Via Riyadh’

Five media training and digital initiatives were introduced by Minister of Media Salman Al-Dosari on Monday during the first "Media Partners" conference, which took place at the "Via Riyadh" in the Saudi capital. Several projects that assist talent in the media business were announced during the meeting, spanning a variety of professions and tracks. The meeting, which seeks to deepen the relationship between the ministry's system and partners from the public and commercial sectors in the field of media, drew more than 200 experts, professionals, and officials from the communications and media sectors around the Kingdom.

Al-Dosari stated that the ministry is eager to build relationships with different public and private sector partners to accomplish the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, the most important of which is boosting citizens' global competitiveness through the development of human capital. To achieve a flourishing economy driven by highly efficient national capabilities, it is necessary to invest in national talents and competences as well as to encourage the culture of innovation, entrepreneurship, skills development, and rehabilitation.

The government introduced many new media initiatives at the conference. Among these is the "Communication Academy," which seeks to advance the Kingdom's advertising industry and provide gifted individuals with opportunities to advance their proficiency in digital advertising.

The second initiative under the "Ignite Initiative" digital content programme in Saudi Arabia is called "Tawasul+," and its goal is to offer training opportunities in the development of digital content. The third initiative, "Media Leadership Training," seeks to develop the abilities of a new generation of media executives so they may lead Arab and local media organisations and improve their executive techniques and leadership abilities.

During the conference, the "Media Zone" project was also introduced. Its goal is to provide a dedicated space where media knowledge and skills may be acquired through a variety of contemporary means, as well as to offer a collaborative work environment for the practise of media arts. Through a variety of training programmes, the fifth initiative, Speakers+, seeks to enhance the media abilities of leaders in the public and commercial sectors. On the fringes of the gathering is an exhibition of several noteworthy media initiatives, such as the "Saudi Treasures" initiative, which featured the most significant creative works it has produced.

An agreement of collaboration between the Human Resources Development Fund (HADAF) and the Government Communication Centre at the Ministry of Media was signed during the "Media Partners" conference. In addition to strengthening and localising media sector professions in the fields of digital advertising, digital games, and digital audio and video, this is intended to support and empower talents in the media sector by training, qualifying, and developing national cadres and inspiring them to work in the digital content creation industry sector.

Aside from the Income Support Programme, the HADAF Leadership Programme, the National E-Training Platform (Doroob), the Vocational Professional Certificates Support Programme, the On-the-job Training Programme (Tamheer), the HADAF Training Support Programme, and the Skills Programme, the Memorandum of Understanding also supports the benefits of using HADAF products and programmes.
