News EventThe fourth National Cultural Awards have been announced by representatives of the Saudi Ministry of Culture, the Saudi Press Agency said on Monday. It will have sixteen categories, including cinema, music, fashion, national heritage, literature, theatre and performing arts, visual art, architecture and design, culinary arts, publishing, and translation. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is the sponsor of the event.
The National Cultural Awards initiative is part of the Quality of Life Program, one of the Vision 2030 schemes.
A cultural institutions gong, international excellence, youth culture, male and female business achievers, and cultural personality of the year are among the honours that will be given out. In addition to providing assistance and an honorary representation of the cultural sector both inside the Kingdom and abroad, the awards seek to promote cultural content and production.
Nominations for the Cultural Awards can be made by the general public and the cultural community at https://www.moc.gov.sa/Modules/Pages/Cultural-Awards. The two-month application process will culminate in a closing event in September where the winners will be announced. The screening, assessment, and judgement of nominations will take place in phases.
