Jeddah Governorate Municipality conducted a hypothesis of heavy rains to raise the readiness of sites and equipment

The Jeddah Governorate Municipality tested the idea of high precipitation to increase site and equipment preparedness. This hypothesis is being presented as part of its preparations for the rainy season. The Municipality's theory caused water to build up on public roads, causing traffic disruptions.

In addition to King Faisal Bin Abdulaziz Road, it set up a situation that would cause the water levels in many major streets in the northern Obhur neighbourhoods of Al-Yaqoot and Al-Firdous to rise. All relevant departments participated in the hypothesis, which saw the rain plan triggered and support personnel dispatched from surrounding support centres.

According to the Municipality, 86 different pieces of equipment, such as cranes, water tanks, and pumps, together with 120 field participants validated the notion. The theory also called for asking the Jeddah Governorate Traffic Department for assistance in controlling traffic and designating a route for machinery that empties water into manholes. With this procedure, the hour-long process of draining rainwater accumulated in impacted regions will only take around 20 minutes instead of hours.

Additionally, it seeks to prevent observations throughout every rainy season and to increase the degree of coordination and speed of collaboration between the various stakeholders. The Jeddah Municipality attested to the unified center's preparedness to receive reports 940 and handle them directly.
