Jeddah to undergo major public transportation expansion with new routes and increased services

NewsA significant public transportation expansion with more routes and services is planned for Jeddah. Starting on April 1, Jeddah Transport Co. CEO Yousef Al-Sayegh has announced that 91 new buses, including three electric vehicles, would be introduced. Additionally, the company plans to expand its bus lines from six to fourteen.
The city's mobility will be greatly improved by this expansion, which will increase the number of bus stations from 46 to 383 and aim to serve 9 million passengers yearly.
At a recent event organized by the American Chamber of Commerce Saudi Arabia Jeddah Chapter, which highlighted corporate collaboration potential and transportation efforts, the news was made.
A standardized brand, logo, official uniforms, and designated taxi parking markings are all part of the initiative's unique visual identity for Jeddah's taxis.
Digital passenger screens and educational interior stickers will be installed in every cab.
