At the Jewels of the World exhibition in Riyadh, leading local and international jewelry designers are showcasing their most recent creations to attract the region's consumers. Everything that glitters may be gold.
Karim Al-Anzi, head of the National Committee for Precious Metals and Gemstones, opened the event, which will run until November 6. During that time, firms will display watches, necklaces, rings, earrings, and a variety of pieces that incorporate diamond, gold, and silver.
Jewelry lovers flocked to the opening night in large numbers, hoping to meet leading designers and industry trendsetters.
The exhibition's organizer, Nader Freiha, describes the Jewels of the World as a boutique event that is "celebrating the elegant craftmanship of these distinctive pieces."
Designer Karen Suen's display of a necklace made with almost 80 carats of diamonds and emeralds is one of the exhibition's centerpieces.
More than 60 international jewelry firms are on display at the Jewels of the World exhibition, and their selections range from modern to unique designs. Visitors are enthralled by the elaborate and inventive craftsmanship on exhibit, which features diamonds, gold, and other valuable gemstones.
