News EventThe cultural and recreational centre of Khasirat Ayn Zubaida was recently launched by the Saudi Royal Commission for Makkah and Holy places, as a continuation of their efforts to develop historical places. The commission's partners, the Pilgrim Experience Programme, the Ministry of Culture, the General Authority for Awqaf, the Heritage Commission, and the Kidana Development Company, collaborated in the inauguration.
In addition to six distinct cultural and recreational sites that enhance the visiting experience and provide historical visual presentations, the region has a 1.2 kilometre hiking trail. According to the commission, they are available until February 28.
One of Makkah's most ancient sites, the Ayn Zubaida stream is revered by Muslims for its dual use as a freshwater supply and a location for travellers to relax. It also represents the sacred city's rich history and legacy.
The construction and restoration of the Khasirat Ayn Zubaida district is indicative of the commission's strong desire to protect Makkah's ancient sites. It is trying to develop these locations to raise awareness of cultural and historical heritage, improve Makkah's experience for both locals and tourists and advance historical tourism in the Kingdom.
