Largest radio telescope in the Middle East will be launched by the Saudi Amateur Radio Society

The largest radio telescope in the Middle East will be launched by the Saudi Amateur Radio Society, according to a story published on Sunday by the Saudi Press Agency. 

The 20-meter-diameter gadget has been built, and testing will take place before it is connected to the radio telescope system created at academic institutions. 

The astronomical observatory in Mashar National Park will serve as the location for the radio telescope.

The proposal, according to the association's president, Prince Badr bin Fahd, is in accordance with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives of sustainable development, digital transformation, and luring investments in the technology and innovation sectors.
