NewsA single platform for the Skill Verification Service was created by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to confirm the credentials of foreign employees. Through the platform, the MHRSD, represented through the Professional Accreditation Programme, will gradually roll out the first phase of the service in 62 countries. This is in line with the ministry's objective to create a desirable labour market and to empower and improve the workplace.
The service focuses on choosing professions and jobs in accordance with educational and academic qualifications, as well as ensuring that the academic qualification is compatible with the level, educational field, and experience required for the profession. The service aims to ensure that the expatriate worker is the holder of accredited academic qualifications before entering the Saudi labour market.
The vocational verification service will help improve the calibre of foreign labour in the Kingdom and make sure that employees without the necessary academic credentials cannot get employment. Through the programme, the ministry aims to control the labour market, elevate the standard of professional services, improve labour quality, and boost productivity.
