With its cutting-edge modern technologies and integrated services, the recently opened Al-Jawhara bint Abdulaziz Al-Dawood Mosque in Tabuk's Iskan neighborhood is a prime example of a contemporary, eco-friendly mosque that plays a significant role in the daily lives of the local community.
According to the Integrated Mosques Company's head of Mosque Operations, Abdulaziz Al-Furaij, this mosque is regarded as one of the biggest smart mosques in the Kingdom. In order to minimize energy consumption and achieve the mosque's ideal consumption, it also has a mechanism for instantaneous monitoring and reading of water and electricity consumption, as well as for controlling the operation and shutdown process of these components.
Through the use of specialized smart technologies, the mosque provides services to all facets of the local population, including women, men, children, and individuals with impairments. The minaret's lighting changes during the call to prayer to serve as an alert for the deaf and mute, and the mosque is only 20 centimeters above the ground to allow the elderly and those with disabilities to enter without needing assistance.
