More than 80 beekeepers from the area and beyond attended the ninth Jazan Honey Festival, which was arranged by the Jazan branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture. This has generated excitement, according to a Sunday story from the Saudi Press Agency. The event highlighted the booming field of beekeeping and was put on in cooperation with a number of organisations, research centres, and several governmental and nonprofit groups.
Additionally, the ministry set up a mobile clinic to examine bee samples and treat common ailments that affect bees. The clinic served the requirements of all participating beekeepers by offering necessary treatments under the direction of a specialised staff. About 240 people attended the eight instructional and training seminars, which included beekeepers and others with an interest in the Jazan region's production of honey and its derivatives. The workshops provided insightful information to the attendees.
Scientific developments in honey-related domains, including processing industries, pest and disease diagnostics, sample collecting techniques, the effects of pesticides on bees, and contemporary beekeeping applications and technology, were discussed in the workshops.
Over 600 tonnes of honey products were on show for the 10 days of the festival, which attracted an outstanding turnout of over 110,000 people. The festival further cemented its standing as a significant occasion in the beekeeping and honey business by showcasing premium honey kinds, including sidr, sumr, salam, dhiyaneh, majra, qatad, and sahaya.
