News EventFrom July 27 to July 29, creatives will have the opportunity to connect at the Qassim HAWI initiative exhibition, which is part of the Saudi Quality of Life programme. HAWI is holding two shows, one in Buraydah's Al-Othaim Mall and one at Unaizah Boulevard. The HAWI programme intends to bring together like-minded creatives in a range of industries, such as ceramics, fashion, and collecting precious goods, as well as artisanry, public speaking, and reading, by forming hobby clubs. The event, according to HAWI, is a continuation of earlier tours that began in Madinah, then Tabuk, Riyadh, Taif, and now Qassim.
The programme aims to bring the community together and encourage people's interests by providing tools for creatives to practise their hobbies on a regular basis across the Kingdom. The National Hobbies Portal offers services for amateurs such as forming new clubs or joining existing ones, acquiring statutory licences, hosting events, making use of shared workspaces, and gaining financial and operational help.
Since the HAWI initiative's inception in October 2022, over 445 hobby clubs have been founded in 50 cities and provinces around the Kingdom. The programmes and events are part of the Quality of Life Programme Center's goal of registering 6,000 amateur groups in the Kingdom by 2030.
