Qatar taekwondo team player Noor Nizar won the gold medal in the 2023 Beirut Open Taekwondo Tournament

Noor Nizar, a member of the Qatar Taekwondo team, earned the gold medal in the youth category on September 12, 2023, while competing in the 2023 Beirut Open Taekwondo Tournament. She was also ranked G1 for the junior category. This comes as the Saudi government implements rules intended to make it more accessible to women. On Wednesday, September 13, 2023, the event will come to an end in Beirut.

Through 117 male and female competitors in the cadet category, 136 in the junior category, and 176 in the senior category, 19 countries are competing in the competition. Noor Nizar defeated Jordanian competitor Raha Al Adwan to win the gold medal in the young women's over 68 kg final match.
