Saudi Arabias economy ministry announced the beta launch of Data Saudi platform, with the aim of creating a consolidated reference for Saudi socioeconomic data

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the Saudi Economy Ministry on Wednesday announced the beta launch of the Data Saudi platform with the goal of establishing a comprehensive reference for Saudi socioeconomic data. Data Saudi will aim to aggregate and integrate information from reliable national and international sources to provide consumers a better knowledge of the Kingdom's economic environment. 

Through cooperation with other governmental bodies and in accordance with Saudi Vision 2030, the platform aims to improve openness of information on the national economy and enable access to socioeconomic and sectoral data. Data Saudi will feature important economic and social indexes during the beta launch, with the possibility to analyse the statistics at the national and regional levels. 

The government seeks to improve the platform by broadening the data coverage to incorporate other economic sectors. In addition to providing periodicals, it also strives to include increasingly sophisticated and interactive multimedia approaches.
