NewsTo strengthen a research community of academics, practitioners, students, and scholars, the Saudi Architecture and Design Commission's content development programme unveiled a research plan on November 14. The CEO of the commission, Sumayah Al-Solaiman, stated that an inclusive framework will be used to promote social, economic, and environmental advantages within the architectural and design industry.
The committee has developed eight tracks to carry out the plan, all of which are based on industry best practises: assistance with publications and community events; fellowship and residency programmes to promote development and knowledge sharing; thorough instruction on writing, publishing, methodology, and other critical skill sets; researcher activation and performance measure development.
Supporting creative output within the sector, sponsoring national conferences and networking events, building a platform for practitioners to collaborate and exchange information, and bolstering facilities and fostering cooperation are the other themes.
The commission was established in February 2020 under the Ministry of Culture with the goal of growing the Saudi architectural and design industry.
