Saudi Media Minister opened FOMEX, the inaugural event of the third edition of the Saudi Media Forum

News EventThe Future of Media Exhibition (FOMEX), the first-ever event of the third iteration of the Saudi Media Forum in Riyadh, was launched on Monday by Saudi Media Minister Salman Al-Dosary. Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Al-Swaha, Assistant Minister of Information Dr. Abdullah Almaghlooth, President of the Saudi Media Forum, CEO of the Broadcasting Authority Mohammed Al-Harthi, and a host of other officials from the Arab and international media, as well as prominent figures from the local and global media industries, attended the launch.
With over 200 local and international firms, "FOMEX" is the largest specialised media exhibition in the Middle East, taking place over three days. These firms provide a platform for experts and innovators to talk and exchange ideas, helping to create the newest trends in media content, production, and transmission. They also display the latest technological and creative advances and advancements across numerous media areas.
With its world-class expertise and display of cutting-edge media experiences, this second edition of the expo offers exhibitors and attendees the chance to build fruitful partnerships that support the expansion of media companies and institutions worldwide. It also activates modern TV and radio production activities in line with the rapidly evolving media landscape.
Beginning on Tuesday and lasting for two days, the Saudi Media Forum will bring together global executives, decision-makers, and innovators for over 60 conversation sessions and workshops led by 150 speakers. These 80-topic sessions will cover the most recent developments in global media work in print, digital, audio, visual, and other mediums. They will also highlight notable local and international media experiences and explore the role of media in social, political, sports, and economic concerns.
The event will cover a wide range of topics, including the importance of digital media and marketing, television, mobile journalism, news editing techniques, the situation of Arab media, and more. The main sessions will examine the local and Arab media landscape, covering a range of topics including tourism, media's reaction to changes, media's evolution in times of crisis, media regulation in the era of artificial intelligence, the future of the region in light of climate change, major shifts in Saudi sports, the entertainment industry's technological and advertising challenges, media mergers and acquisitions, developments in artificial intelligence in media, TV production, influencers, opportunities in the podcast industry, and strategic media marketing for sustainable development goals.
Ministers, officials, experts, and media professionals will lead a number of sessions and workshops at the forum on topics including content creation, the evolution of diplomatic media dialogue, the role of media and technology in enhancing culture and the economy, local tourism support, the leadership roles of women in reshaping the media landscape, the future of print journalism, the evolution of security and sports media, and how technology has changed newsrooms.
The Saudi Media Forum, which brings together leaders from both domestic and foreign media sectors and more than two thousand media enthusiasts and professionals from Arab and non-Arab nations, provides a rare chance for media workers, talent, and students to remain up to speed on industry developments.
