Solar energy project was launched by Riyadh Mayor Prince Faisal Bin Ayyaf

The solar energy project was launched by Riyadh Mayor Prince Faisal Bin Ayyaf at the building of the Operation and Maintenance Agency on Sunday. Riyadh Municipality stressed that they have installed photovoltaic panels as umbrellas to generate energy in the northern parking lots of the Operation and Maintenance Agency building.

There are 374 public parking, and 4 parking for the electric vehicles, noting that it will work to reduce electricity consumption by up to 40%. This will also contribute in benefiting from the energy to charge electric vehicles, Riyadh Municipality said.

Riyadh Municipality mentioned that the project area is 7,135 square meters, and the number of photovoltaic panels is 3,546, with 405 Watt for each panel. It added that the step of launching the solar energy project will contribute in making buildings eco-friendly.
