News Eventccording to the Saudi Press Agency, the Technical Female College in Jeddah organized a three-day Fashion Technology Hackathon on Monday to encourage creativity and innovation in the fashion sector. The general administration for student activities is in charge of the event, and Marei Al-Qarni, the director general of technical and vocational training for the Makkah region, was present.
The college's dean, Afra Al-Layati, praised the hackathon as a ground-breaking effort that brought together students, alumni, and trainees from technical institutions and universities who are passionate about both fashion and technology.
The participants work in an atmosphere that fosters creativity, with a focus on creating original ideas and models.
The Fashion Technology Hackathon seeks to advance scientific knowledge, encourage creativity, and motivate competition in keeping with the nation's progressive ideals.
With three different tracks—technical solutions, sustainability, and traditional clothing—it targets Saudi graduates and trainees with expertise in manufacturing, software engineering, computer science, fashion design, and other technology-related fields that are relevant to the fashion industry.
According to the SPA, there will be educational tours, workshops, advising sessions, and an immersive exhibition in addition to the hackathon.
