The Organizing Committee for the Saudi Games has started registration for auditions in all regions of the Kingdom

NewsThe registration process for auditions for various athletic activities that involve holding performance tests has begun in all parts of the Kingdom by the Saudi Games organising committee. The major national athletic event's performance evaluations will take place from June 8 to October 7 while registrations are open until June 5.
Three categories—basic sports, demonstration sports, and paralympic sports—will each include 53 sporting events. Athletes for sporting events without an audition process will be chosen by their individual sports federations. The tournament activities were already confirmed by the organising committee.
They include electronic sports, darts, badminton, balot, basketball 3x3, basketball 5x5, beach volleyball, beach football, sea sports and diving, jet ski, billiards, bowling, boxing, camel racing, chess, climbing, cycling, and equestrian. In addition to athletics (Paralympics), table tennis (Paralympics), weightlifting (Paralympics), and basketball (Paralympics), it also includes futsal, jogging, gymnastics, handball, indoor rowing, judo, jiu-jitsu, karate, sailing, shooting, squash, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, and tennis.
Darts, athletics, beach volleyball, balot, billiards, electronic sports, boxing, golf, indoor rowing, windsurfing, squash, and weightlifting are among the activities that call for registration for auditions. table tennis, triathlon competition, taekwondo, Paralympic weightlifting, Paralympic athletics, Thai boxing, and motorsport are among the sports.
Several experimental sports, including skateboarding, rock climbing, cricket, and mixed martial arts, will also have auditions. Performance evaluations are required of registrants for a total of 22 events.
Dates for the second Saudi Games in 2023 were released by the organising committee on March 5. The largest games ever held in Saudi Arabia. between November 26 and December 10, 2023.
More than 6,000 athletes and 2,000 technical and administrative supervisors representing more than 200 clubs from all across the Kingdom competed in the first edition of the Saudi Games, which took place from October 27 to November 7, 2022.
In 45 individual and team competitions, including five Paralympic sports, the first edition saw fierce competition.
Saudi Arabia provided equal prize money to male and female medalists during the first Saudi Games, with a total prize pool of over $53 million split among the 45 sports that were on the schedule: SR1 million for the gold medal, SR300,000 for the silver, and SR100,000 for the bronze.
The Saudi Games are a component of the Kingdom's "Life Quality" programme, which is a part of the larger Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to improve sport in the nation by increasing the number of male and female athletes who compete.
