News EventAfter its debut in 2021 amid the COVID-19 epidemic, Noor Riyadh's beauty has been its capacity to introduce art to the Saudi people as well as the city of Riyadh and its many districts and neighbourhoods. During the festival, large-scale art works created by artists from Saudi Arabia, the wider Middle East, and throughout the globe may be found all around Riyadh. Exploring the Saudi city, its neighborhoods, and monuments—many of which the public was unaware that it even existed—as well as discovering new artists, perspectives, and cultures becomes possible when one views these works of art under the stars at night.
The directors and curators of Noor Riyadh believe that the attraction of their particularly commissioned artworks unites people from all walks of life in the metropolis. International artists working in a variety of media, including performance art, architecture, engineering, graphic design, and even medicine, will be on display at Noor Riyadh.
The capital's premier commercial and leisure area, the King Abdullah Financial District, is home to the five major hubs spread around the city of Riyadh. It was here that the first-ever Riyadh Fashion Week was held recently.
Under the theme "The Bright Side of the Desert Moon," which investigates the desert as a site of reconnection, the third Noor Riyadh takes place from November 30 to December 16. It will feature 120 pieces of art by over 100 artists from over 35 different nations, with a notable presence of Saudi artists, who make about one-third of the participating artists.
The artwork features notable pieces by a variety of artists, including Diana Thater, Janet Echelman, Carsten Holler, Chris Levine, Ange Leccia, Laurent Grasso, and Philippe Parreno.
